Photography & Design

Teens 13–17

Photography and Graphic Design have a long entwined history, each lending to the other in an attempt to attract an audience or to define an experience or product. It's no secret that the brand you build around yourself is perhaps the single most important way to stand out in a crowd. In this camp, you will learn to combine creative and technical aspects of photography and fundamental elements of graphic design to create visual messages that define a personal brand and tell a story. Through the examination and practice of photographic styles and genres, visual storytelling, composition, inspiration, logos, typography, and color palettes, students will craft a visual portfolio that will serve as an initial step in their unique brand design.

Who is this for?

Teens who enjoy taking photos, creating artistic visual expressions, and telling their own story.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the qualifications of the Full Sail Labs facilitators?

All Full Sail Labs facilitators receive background checks with Level 2 FBI clearance, are CPR certified, and receive 100 hours of education before they fully step into their roles. They are trained quarterly on the tools and technology, best teaching methods and how to work with different learner behaviors. We also require all full-time facilitators to become certified Apple Teachers.

What does my child need to bring/not bring?

The only thing they need to bring is a lunch, their creative juices, and enthusiasm! Our lab environments are equipped with everything our students need to develop their creative projects.

What are your class sizes?

There is a 1:10 instructor to student ratio and our labs hold a maximum of 24 students for optimal learning. Since groups will be from 10 to 20, there will always be at least two instructors to teach and assist in project development for all students in the lab.

What housing/hotel accommodations do you have/recommend?

Click here for a hotel list. Many of the accommodations on our list offer a special Full Sail rate.

If the week I want is full, is there a waiting list?

Yes. For those classes that are already full, we will maintain a waiting list. To get on the waiting list, you must complete an online application indicating the session in which you are interested. Credit card information is required but will not be charged at this point. As spaces become available, the first name in the waiting list will be called and offered the spot.
